How it works

Working principle of voltage stabilizer

What is relay type AVR?

First of all, we must know what a relay is. A relay is an automatic switching element with isolation function. It is widely used in remote control, telemetry, communication, automatic control, mechatronics and power electronic equipment. It is one of the most important control elements.

The relay type AVR uses a relay as the main component to adjust the voltage, which can adjust the input voltage and output a stable voltage.

How does a relay voltage stabilizer work?

All regulators use the same technology to stabilize the output voltage. The output voltage is sampled by the Resistive Divider connected to the Inverting Input of the Error Amplifier, and the Non-inverting Input of the Error Amplifier is connected to a reference voltage Vref.

The reference voltage is generated by the band gap reference source inside the IC. The error amplifier always tries to force the inputs of both ends to be equal. To this end, it provides load current to ensure stable output voltage:

Vout = Vref(1 + R1 / R2)

What are the different types of voltage stabilizer?

According to the working principle, the voltage stabilizers are mainly divided into relay type voltage stabilizers and servo type voltage stabilizers. Relay type voltage stabilizers use relays, and servo type voltage stabilizers use servo motor. They are classified according to the usage scenarios. Desktop, wall-mounted, cabinet type.
