What is a voltage regulator?

The voltage stabilizer is a power supply circuit or power supply device that can automatically adjust the output voltage. Its function is to stabilize the power supply voltage that fluctuates greatly and does not meet the requirements of electrical equipment within its set value range, so that various circuits or electrical appliances can be worked normally under the rated working voltage. In short, a regulator is a device that stabilizes the output voltage.

We can provide relay type voltage stabilizer and servo type voltage stabilizer. Compared with other types of regulators, it has the advantages of large capacity, high efficiency, no waveform distortion, smooth voltage adjustment, etc. It is suitable for a wide range of loads, can withstand instantaneous overload, can work continuously for a long time, manual/automatic switching, and is equipped with over-voltage protection, Automatic protection for lack of phase and mechanical failure, the machine is small in size, light in weight, easy to use and install, and reliable in operation.

How to choose the right voltage regulator?

First of all, you need to understand what type of load equipment is?Generally, the load is not purely resistive. Therefore, in the actual selection, the voltage stabilizer should be selected reasonably according to the specific conditions of the rated power, power factor and load type of the electrical equipment, and its output power should be left with a proper margin.Don’t be the impact load, the margin should be larger when choosing.

1.Pure resistive load such as incandescent lamp, resistance wire, electric furnace and other equipment, the voltage stabilizer powershould be 1.5 to 2 times the power of the load equipment. For example, your electric furnace is about 250W.You can choose a voltage stabilizer with a power of 500W.

2.Inductive and capacitive loads such as fluorescent lamps, fans, motors, water pumps, air Tune, refrigerator, etc.

The power of the voltage stabilizer should be 3 times the power of the load equipment. For example, the motor is 1000W, then the regulator needs to choose 3000W .

3.In the environment of large inductive and capacitive load, the starting of the load should be considered when selecting,And the current is very large (up to 5~8 times the rated current), so the power of the regulator should be negativemore than 3 times of the load power.

Can a voltage stabilizer prevent insufficient power supply?

No, the voltage stabilizer can only guarantee a stable voltage drop between the two wires, but cannot guarantee the amperage of the power supply. The voltage stabilizer uses the energy storage function of the coil, charging the coil first when the voltage at both ends is high, and discharging when the voltage is low.

During the peak summer electricity consumption period, the voltage at home is unstable, and the air conditioner cannot be started, even the lights often flicker. What should I do? How to buy a household voltage stabilizer?

The normal voltage at home is generally 220v. If the light flashes, it means that the voltage at your home is already below 160v. At this time, you should choose an ultra-low voltage regulator (with a larger voltage regulator range). But the lower the input voltage, the lower the output power of the regulator. Therefore, we must choose as large a power as possible. According to this situation, it is necessary to explain which appliances are used in the home at the same time, and how many watts of power are respectively.

For example: A 1P air conditioner is regarded as 1kw and a 3P air conditioner is regarded as 3kw. For inductive loads such as air conditioners and refrigerators, the voltage stabilizer should be selected at 3 times the power. The bulb is a pure resistive load, just add the total power (1:1 with voltage stabilizer). The lower the input voltage, the more the regulator must amplify, amplifying the power by about 4 times. Generally, there are two wall-mounted air conditioners installed at home. Buying a 15kva is enough (including basic electrical appliances).
